Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV will not summoned to stand as witness in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, the House prosecution panel said Thursday.

House lead prosecutor Gerville Luistro of Batangas made the manifestation on Day 32 of the impeachment trial, saying the panel's decision was final.

"The prosecution has finally decided not to present former senator Sonny Trillanes. We seek the kind indulgence of the honorable impeachment court for the belated final position on this particular concern," Luistro said. — VDV, GMA News
