What this is
KioskNews gathers publicly published RSS feeds from independent news outlets around the world, shows them together, and lets anyone discuss them. We do not write, commission, edit or endorse any of the journalism here. It is run by one person, not a company, and is free to use. Contact: support@kiosknews.app.
The reading view, and who owns the words
For many articles we show a cleaned-up reading view: the publisher’s own text, stripped of navigation and advertising, extracted once and stored so that an article and the discussion beneath it stay consistent. Every one of them carries the publisher’s name, links back to the original, and invites you to read it there.
All article text, headlines, photographs and trademarks belong to the publishers who made them. We claim no ownership of any of it and take no payment for any of it.
Publishers that charge for their journalism are never extracted — those articles show a headline and a link only.
Publishers: how to opt out
If you publish one of the sources here and would rather we did not show your text, write to support@kiosknews.app from an address at your own domain. We will switch your source to headline-and-link within five working days, or remove it entirely if you prefer. No argument, and no lawyer required. The same address handles copyright complaints of any other kind.
Comments
- You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it here you allow us to display it on this site.
- You are responsible for what you post, including for having the right to post it.
- Nothing illegal, nothing that harasses or threatens a person or group, no spam, no advertising, no impersonating someone real, and no personal details about anyone who has not published them themselves.
- We may remove any comment, hide it, or block a browser, at any time, without notice and without explaining ourselves. We are under no obligation to host anything.
- Enough reports hide a comment automatically until a person reviews it.
Comments are the opinions of whoever typed them. They are not ours, and publishing them is not an endorsement.
Fair use of the site
Do not scrape it, do not automate it, do not try to break it, and do not use it to get around an access restriction a publisher has put in place.
No warranty
Accuracy, availability and uptime all depend on third parties we do not control — the RSS feeds themselves, and the services described in our Privacy Policy. Stories in the daily briefing are grouped automatically, their headlines are machine-translated, and answers from “Ask about this story” are AI-written from held articles; all of it can be wrong, which is why the original headline and a link to the publisher are always shown. KioskNews is provided as it is, free of charge, with no warranty of any kind.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Your own sources (app only)
The phone app lets you add your own RSS feed. What you point it at, and that source’s own terms, are your responsibility.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Israel, and the courts of Tel Aviv have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not take away the protections your own country’s law gives you.
Changes
If these terms change we will update the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site or the app after a change means you accept the update.
