Malaysia travellers gain new gateways to Europe and Central Asia via Vietjet

Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian travellers will have more options to explore Europe and Central Asia as Vietjet expands its international network with new routes linking Hanoi to Almaty in Kazakhstan and Prague in the Czech Republic.

The new services mark the airline's expansion into the European Union and strengthen air connectivity between Asia and Europe, with Malaysian passengers able to connect through Hanoi via Vietjet's direct flights from Kuala Lumpur.

The routes will operate twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft. Passengers can opt for Business and SkyBoss services, which offer enhanced onboard hospitality and dining options.

Vietjet chief executive officer Nguyen Thanh Son said the new routes marked an important milestone in the airline's international expansion.

"Vietjet will continue to expand its services to Europe, making travel between Europe, Australia and Asia more convenient," he said.

Prague is known for its historic architecture and cultural heritage, while Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest city, is recognised for its natural landscapes and position as a gateway to Central Asia.

Vietjet currently operates direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
