Shrishti Arora on Tuesday won bronze, India’s fourth shooting medal, in women’s 10m air pistol SH1 during the ongoing Para Asian Games at the Aichi Prefectural General Shooting Gallery.
She finished behind the Iranian pair of Faezeh Ahmadi and Sareh Javanmardi, who clinched gold and silver, respectively.
Sumedha Pathak, the other Indian shooter in the final, finished at the very bottom of the pile. Interestingly, it was Sumedha who had topped qualification earlier with a score of 561-18x and looked more probable of the two to bring back home a medal from the event.
Shrishti had finished fifth in qualification with a score of 560-8x. The Iranian duo had finished further below, with Faezeh slotting sixth and Sareh seventh.
