Egypt to see falling temperatures and heavier autumn rains

Translate

Meteorological authorities have issued a warning regarding weather conditions during late-night and early-morning hours, as lower minimum temperatures are expected across all regions, alongside winds that will heighten the coldness.

Authorities advised taking a jacket when going out during this time of the year —especially for the elderly and children— in order to prevent catching colds.

El Niño strikes Egypt

According to meteorologists, Egypt is currently being affected this year by the El Niño phenomenon, which impacts countries surrounding oceans, particularly the central and eastern areas of the Pacific Ocean, leading to altered weather patterns.

El Niño leads to a rise in global average temperatures, and the overall warming of the Earth contributes to increased climate shifts.

Meteorologists forecast that the phenomenon’s impact will intensify during November and December, causing a clear climatic shift during the autumn season.

They explained that Egypt is among the countries indirectly affected by this phenomenon, noting that the Meteorological Authority announced autumn rainfall rates this year will be higher than average due to rising sea surface temperatures in the Mediterranean Sea and the impact of climate change.
