The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council says it is targeting nationwide mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election, banking on President Bola Tinubu’s economic and institutional reforms to garner support for his re-election bid.

The Director of the APC-PCC Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate, Silas Agara, disclosed this on Sunday during a press conference in Abuja, where he announced the opening of a five-day registration portal for support groups backing Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He said the online portal would remain open from October 17 to 22, 2026. Agara urged all support groups and volunteer networks working for Tinubu’s re-election to register, irrespective of whether they had previously registered with the party or other campaign structures.

He said, “Today marks an important milestone in our preparations for the re-election campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We are here not only to announce the commencement of our activities but also to unveil a strategic platform for building a stronger, better-coordinated and truly nationwide support group network.

“Support groups are a vital link between the party, the campaign organisation and the Nigerian people. They bring together communities, professional associations, interest groups and volunteers, helping to communicate the administration’s policies, explain its achievements and engage citizens on issues that matter to them.

“Our mandate is to coordinate these groups, strengthen their organisational capacity and ensure that their activities complement the broader objectives of the APC presidential campaign.

“Today, we are officially launching our online support group registration portal at https://www.pccsupportgroups.com/. The portal goes live today, 17 October 2026, and will remain open for five days, closing on 22 October 2026.”

Agara said the registration exercise would help verify the groups’ membership, assess their reach and improve nationwide coordination.

He said the directorate would build a unified mobilisation network to promote the administration’s achievements and the Renewed Hope Agenda, citing Tinubu’s economic and institutional reforms over the past three years.

Agara added, “These include the removal of the fuel subsidy, the unification of foreign exchange rates, measures to strengthen local government autonomy and comprehensive tax reforms. The administration has also introduced initiatives such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, which expands access to financing for eligible students, and the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation, designed to broaden access to consumer credit.

“In healthcare, the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative is supporting efforts to improve service delivery, strengthen primary healthcare and expand access to specialised treatment, including cancer care.

“We believe that the progress being made provides a basis for continued reform, stronger institutions and improved national prosperity. Our responsibility is to communicate the administration’s achievements accurately, explain its policies clearly and listen to the legitimate concerns of Nigerians.

“The task ahead is not merely to promote a political message. It is to engage citizens respectfully, provide credible information and demonstrate that the Renewed Hope Agenda can deliver meaningful improvements in their lives.”

Agara urged support groups nationwide to register within the stipulated period, remain active and work with the directorate to ensure effective coordination and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

He also called for sustained engagement with voters and urged the media to publicise the registration exercise to strengthen support for Tinubu’s re-election bid and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The APC-PCC is intensifying preparations for the 2027 presidential election, with Tinubu seeking re-election on the platform of the ruling party.

The campaign is expected to focus on the administration’s economic and institutional reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, including fuel subsidy removal, foreign exchange unification, tax reforms and student loan initiatives, as the party seeks to mobilise grassroots support nationwide.
