British movie Yesterday starring Sarah Lancashire has become available to stream again in the UK if you need a movie to watch tonight.. The 2019 movie comes from writer Richard Curtis and director Danny Boyle, and takes place in a world where the Beatles never existed.

The story focuses on struggling musician Jack Malik (Himesh Patel) as he enters into the alternative reality without John, Paul, George and Ringo. As the only one who can remember their songs, he starts to claim them for his own, becoming hugely famous in the process.

Alongside Patel, the movie boasts an impressive wider cast too, including Lancashire, Lily James, Joel Fry, Kate McKinnon, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Meera Syal, while Ed Sheeran appears as himself.

If that sounds like something you want to see, Yesterday is now available to stream via BBC iPlayer after airing last night on BBC One. It'll be available to watch for the next 29 days before it's removed from the service.

"A love letter to Beatles fans," another added, sharing: "I can assure you that you will be smiling at the end You might also be dancing. Love, Love, Love."

"The movie is light and beautiful with fantastic music," said a third. "If I want realism, I watch a documentary. This is what I go to the movies for. Really well done!"

Over on Rotten Tomatoes, Yesterday sits at a score of 64% based on 365 reviews, Livemint saying it is "full of dry British wit and one-liners" and is "not a headlong tribute, but fantasy fiction that celebrates the spirit of John, Paul, George and Ringo".

"'Feelgood' has become a dirty word, but when it's pulled off with this much energy and actual feeling, it really is fab," added The Big Issue.

However, The Independent wrote: "It’s a chocolate egg of a film: sweet and satisfying enough to distract you from the fact it’s completely hollow inside."

Yesterday is streaming now on BBC iPlayer.
