Tiger Shroff firing case: Haryana Police arrest mastermind Anil Pandit's associate; accused lured with cash and promise of settling abroad

Haryana Police have made arrests in connection with the shooting incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. According to the latest reports, the police have apprehended an alleged associate of Anil Pandit, the suspected mastermind behind the attack.According to the police, the newly arrested suspect, identified as Sameer, allegedly arranged a meeting with Pandit, a California-based member of the Lawrence gang, states a report on Aajtak. Pandit is accused of recruiting the three alleged shooters and promising them incentives to carry out the attack.Investigators claim that Rehan, alias Sukka, one of the three accused, was allegedly offered Rs 35,000 and the promise of settling abroad.

Rehan reportedly has previous cases registered against him under the Arms Act and for theft. The three accused had reportedly been staying in Mumbai for around a month. During this period, they were allegedly introduced to Hrithik Kumar, who was familiar with the city’s streets. Kumar was also purportedly lured with the promise of a good job abroad.According to investigators, Pandit allegedly sent money online from abroad to fund the trio’s expenses, which they collected from a shop.

Police also suspect that the three were directed via the Jaggi app, which allowed conversations without user identification. As far as the weapon used in the shooting, reports state that it was not handed over to the accused, but that the men received a message informing them that the guns had been left near a garbage bin at a designated location. Investigators suspect that there were others involved and are currently working to identify them.As per the report, prior to the firing incident involving Tiger, Rehan and Phool Singh had previously attempted to open fire at a businessman in Amritsar, but their pistol failed to discharge. The development comes a day after three accused were arrested in Kota in connection with the case. While initial reports claimed that one of the arrested was a minor, police later confirmed to PTI that none of the three accused held is a minor, adding that two assailants fired five to six rounds at the actor's car.Addressing a press conference here, DCP Raj Tilak Roshan said one of the accused is 18 years old and other two are 22 years old. "Two accused are from Haryana, and one is from Bihar. Two of the three arrested assailants had fired five to six rounds at Tiger Shroff's car," he said. The DCP said the motorcycle used by them was found in Mumbai's Andheri area. "No weapon was recovered from three suspects. We are bringing them to Mumbai from Rajasthan," he said.

Roshan said there was no complaint earlier of any threat to Tiger Shroff."The motive behind firing on the actor is not yet ascertained. We will find it out after interrogating the suspected assailants," the DCP added.
