Former A24 Docs Chief Joins ‘Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger’ Outfit Magna Studios

Translate

Former A24 docs chief Nicole Stott has joined Magna Studios, the production outfit behind Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger.

Stott becomes an executive producer in Magna’s non-fiction division and will collaborate closely with SVP, Non-Fiction, Oliver Calleja, Creative Director Louis Mole, and the wider team across Magna’s documentary features and limited series.

A24 shuttered its documentary hub last year but prior to this Stott had been division head, working across the likes of The Yogurt Shop Murders and Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winner Nuisance Bear. A24 was in production on smash Elizabeth Holmes doc You Can See Everything at the time, although she didn’t work directly across the movie. She is a former co-head of non fiction at Concordia Studio and headed up London’s Passion Pictures docs for a decade.

Magna Studios is run by former Pulse Films execs Marisa Clifford and Davud Karbassioun, and is owned by Lumina Media, the next-gen company founded by Pulse founder Thomas Benski.

It has made the likes of Disney+’s Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger, Sky’s The Pembrokeshire Murders and the upcoming Lily Allen feature for Prime Video.

Clifford said: “Nicole is a perfect fit for the world-class team we’ve assembled here at Magna. Her outstanding body of work and creative vision make her an invaluable asset as we push boundaries and scale our studio globally.”
