Euromatch NPFL: Finidi Satisfied With Rivers United’s Draw Against Ranchers Bees

Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George, expressed satisfaction after his side secured a valuable point in their matchday six encounter against Ranchers Bees.

The Port Harcourt-based club played out a goalless draw against their hosts at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Monday, extending their unbeaten run in the Nigeria Premier Football League ,NPFL, this season.

The result moved Rivers United to second place on the league table with 11 points from five matches.

Finidi Hails Valuable Away Point

Finidi, a former Nigeria international, described the result as a positive one, acknowledging the difficulty of securing points in Kano.

“It is a good point,” Finidi told journalists after the game.

“This is a place where it is very difficult to even pick a point. I thought they were ahead of us in the first half, but we came out better in the second half.

“We are looking forward to the next game and seeing how we can have a better performance in Katsina on Wednesday.”

Rivers United Target Top Spot

Rivers United will have the opportunity to move to the top of the NPFL standings when they face Katsina United on Wednesday.

Finidi said his players are determined to fight for all three points and achieve their objective.

“It is crucial, and we want to be at the top after our next match. This one point in Kano will go a long way. At the end of the day, you will see that it can put you in a good place,” Finidi added.

“We will just regroup and see how these boys can compete again.”
