Comelec proclaims district representative winners in Lanao del Sur

The Commission on Elections on Tuesday proclaimed the parliamentary district representative winners in Lanao del Sur in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Here are the winning candidates of the following districts in Lanao del Sur:

• Princess Pala Gandamra (SIAP Party) - 1st district
• Hamza Gauraki (UBJP) - 2nd district
• Abdul Rauf Adiong (SIAP Party) - 3rd district
• Lampa Pandi (UBJP) - 4th district
• Arimao Asum (SIAP Party) - 5th district
• Hosni Macapodi (SIAP Party) - 6th district
• Ali-Usman Mindalano (SIAP Party) - 7th district
• Ahmad Balindong (UBJP) - 8th district
• Rashdi Adiong (SIAP Party) - 9th district

Six of the winning district representatives came from the Serbisyong Inklusibo-Alyansang Progresibo Party (SIAP Party), while the remaining winners came from the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP).

The BARMM held its first parliamentary elections on Monday, September 14, with 2.393 million registered voters.

As of 5:59 p.m. on Tuesday, the voter turnout in the BARMM elections reached 98.64%.

Commission on Elections chairman George Erwin Garcia earlier underscored the resolve of voters in the region to cast their ballots, noting that voter turnout had reached 80% at the time. –NB, GMA News
