Emmerdale confirms how Sadie gets Caleb into bed with cruel scheme

Emmerdale fans see passion explode next week as Sadie King finally succeeds in seducing Caleb Miligan.
The scheming character has been trying to get her claws into the married man as part of her plot with Joe Tate to destroy the Miligans, and vulnerable Caleb finally gives in when he thinks his wife Ruby has cheated on him. Is this the end for Caleb and Ruby?

"Sadie is very financially motivated and used to the art of manipulation," explains Patsy Kensit, who plays Sadie. "She's taken a hit in life and needs money, so the fact Joe is paying Sadie is driving her.
"She likes an affluent lifestyle and wants that back – but she also looks at Ruby and Caleb's marriage and it's painful, because she would love what they have…"
Sadie has spent weeks gaslighting Ruby while posing as her friend, making Ruby look as though she has issues with alcohol. While Ruby remains clueless that she's being manipulated by her so-called mate, she's clocked Caleb's disapproval of her drinking and tries to cut back on the booze – much to Sadie's frustration.
When the pair hit the pub, Ruby is adamant this will be a sober session. Sadie, however, has other ideas…
"Ruby thinks she's drinking mocktails but Sadie's slipping alcohol into them without her knowledge," confirms Patsy. "It's such bad behaviour! Ruby thinks they taste a bit strange, but has no idea what's happening."

Soon, the drink goes to Ruby's head and when Sadie catches Ross Barton's eye from across the bar, she seizes the chance for a cheeky flirt. But it's all part of Sadie's saucy plan…
"Ross starts doing a flirty samba dance with Sadie," continues Patsy. "Sadie then grabs Ruby and throws them together. Ruby's falling all over the place by now, and when Sadie texts Caleb pretending she's concerned by Ruby's behaviour, he comes in and sees Ross and Ruby have fallen on the floor!
"Sadie has manipulated the situation to get Caleb there and damage his marriage."
Incandescent Caleb storms out, with Ruby unaware what her husband has witnessed. Ruby starts to realise she's feeling tipsy, which is baffling for her as she believed she was on soft drinks. Sadie does her best supportive friend act, while still spiking Ruby to get her even more plastered.
Later, Caleb quizzes Sadie on why his wife was draped over Ross, giving her the chance to do some more stirring when she says he and Ruby left the pub together…

"Caleb saw enough to think that something happened between Ruby and Ross," reveals Patsy. "Even though she knows it didn't, Sadie doesn't correct him…"
With Caleb crushed to think his wife has been unfaithful, Sadie swoops in to take full advantage and finally gets him into bed.
"Sadie has her plan in her sights," says Patsy. "She is very attracted to Caleb, and she genuinely wants what him and Ruby have as a couple. As well as the money, of course!"
The next day, Caleb is full of regret. Despite thinking his wife has done the dirty, two wrongs don't make a right and he can't believe he's slept with Sadie in revenge.
He confronts Ruby about last night's shenanigans, and during their heated exchange, Caleb is mortified when it becomes clear he's got this all wrong – nothing actually happened with Ross.

Ruby puts the pieces together and fumes that Sadie made her hubby think she's been canoodling with another fella. When she tackles Sadie, however, can the conniving King talk her way out of it?
"The old Sadie would've squashed Ruby like a fly, but they've struck up this weird friendship," continues Patsy. "It's complicated and Ruby has been really kind to Sadie, and I think she does feel guilty about manipulating her.
"But I think Sadie can convince Ruby she didn't mean to cause any trouble – as always, she has a plan!"
Determined to keep their indiscretion under wraps, Caleb demands Sadie move out. But what's to stop spiteful Sadie revealing all to Ruby?
