Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Wraps Filming, But Fans Still Have a Long Wait

A woeful update for Wednesday fans wondering when they’ll get a third season.

The good news is the third season of the Netflix supernatural hit has just wrapped production.

The bad news is that still means a long wait for the new episodes given the show’s extensive post-production effects work.

There was a three-year gap between season one (2022) and season two (2025). The wait for season three will almost certainly be a bit shorter, with a return next fall seeming very plausible given the second season had an eight-month turnaround after filming wrapped.

Netflix declined to add any other updates about the show, which stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, a dour, sleuthing student at Nevermore Academy.

The rest of the season three cast includes Eva Green, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Oscar Morgan, Kennedy Moyer with Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joanna Lumley, Winona Ryder, Chris Sarandon, Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance, and Fred Armisen.

The debut season of Wednesday became Netflix’s most-watched English-language original series of all time (the first season of Squid Game holds the top spot among all shows). Season two also performed well, ranking No. 6 among all-time English-language TV seasons.
