World youth champion to bin men: 'Beat Luke Littler' contestants in full for Netflix darts show

Translate

Luke Littler is in darts action this evening, but in a very different environment to what he is used to.

Yes, he will be up against players that are desperate to beat him, but he will face 24 so-called ‘amateurs’ in single-leg battles live on Netflix.

It is a new show called ‘Beat Luke Littler’, which was advertised as 24 casual darts players challenging the two-time world champion.

Instead, ‘The Nuke’ will be taking on highly-rated semi-professionals as well as some of the sport’s up and coming talents.

The contestants will battle it out to beat Littler in their one-leg affair, and should they do it, they could claim the huge £501,000 jackpot that is up for grabs.

Netflix have gone all-out on the production of the show, with the live event taking place at the Manchester Central Convention Complex and presented by former Match of the Day frontman Gary Lineker, with support from Pointless’ Richard Osman and comedian Lee Mack.

Mitchell Lawrie, 'Wee Sox'

Hailing from Renfrew in Scotland, the 15-year-old is the current world youth champion. He has publicly said that he “expects” to defeat the two-time world champion.

"100 per cent [I'm expecting to beat him],” he said.

“It's one leg. He'll be up there throwing. I don't imagine I'll be on close to the start.

“Hopefully I'll win the bull-up and then hit two trebles to start -and then we'll see where the leg takes us. But that's the plan. Win the bull-up, hit two trebles, and then we'll see where it goes from there."

Lawrie, who has been hailed as ‘the future of darts’, has faced Littler once before at the junior darts World Cup back in 2023, where his Scotland team defeated Littler’s England.

Jayden Walker, 'The Young Gun'

14-year-old Walker, from Christchurch in Dorset, was hailed by world No2 Luke Humphries as “the best 12-year-old I’ve ever seen”, when he averaged 102 against ‘Cool Hand’, beating him in an exhibition in Portsmouth back in December 2024.

He has won the 2025 IDSL World Championship, was part of the England team that triumphed in the JDC Academy Nations Cup, and he also lifted the JDC Advanced Tour title earlier this year.

Walker has played Littler twice already in his nascent career, losing both times.
