CARSON, California: Julien Beaumer capitalized on his holeshot to lead start to finish in Moto 1 of Round 2 of the SuperMotocross Playoffs at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Beaumer earned the holeshot and gathered a comfortable margin over Ryder DiFrancesco in the opening laps as Cole Davies began to pick his way through the field.

Staring fifth, Davies was on the move, taking fourth from the points' leader Levi Kitchen on Lap 5 and third from Drew Adams one laps later.

Those three riders remained in close formation during the middle stage of the race, but with five minutes remaining on the clock, Davies made a desperation move to the inside of the split lane, cut a corner too tight in the sand section and washed out his front wheel.

Davies regained his mount quickly, but was no longer a factor for the win after losing more than 10 seconds in the fall.

As Kitchen faded in the middle stage of the race, Kayden Minear moved into the fifth position.

Adams inherited fourth with Davies' crash.

Chance Hymas was in contention for a top-five in the middle stage of the race, but a fall dropped him outside the top 10.
