Fiorentina have rejected an offer from Nottingham Forest for Dodo, deeming the proposal too low for the Brazil full-back.

According to Sky Sport Italia, via TuttoMercatoWeb, Forest lodged a formal bid of €7m on Wednesday.

The Viola want at least €10m, and the English club will need to improve their offer if they are to secure the player.

Any deal would be permanent, given that his contract with the Viola expires next summer.

Fiorentina open to Dodo exit at the right price

Dodo has been among the players Fiorentina consider available this window, alongside Nicolo Fagioli, Marco Brescianini and Giovanni Fabbian, though concrete offers have been thin.

The 27-year-old joined Fiorentina from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2022 and started Monday’s 4-0 defeat at Roma, where he drew one of the lowest ratings of a difficult night for the visitors.

Fabio Grosso had opted to move Franco Mastantuono infield in part to add solidity behind him, a decision the coach admitted afterwards was open to hindsight.
