'We want action now': Chelsea fans react to takeover as Todd Boehly leaves role after confirmed sale

Chelsea fans were all saying the same thing after the Clearlake Capital takeover was announced on Wednesday night.
The global investment firm, run jointly by Behdad Eghbali and Jose E Feliciano, teamed up with Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss to complete the takeover.
Wyss already owned 12.8% equity in the club who announced that he will remain an "important stakeholder and partner in the ownership group".
Boehly has also left his role as Chelsea chairman, bringing an end a four-year association with the club.
After news broke of the transition, some Chelsea fans took to social media to express their feelings.
One fan on X, formerly Twitter, said: “We want to see action now. The summer transfers are okay but not good enough to win a league.”
Another wrote: “A public statement about winning major trophies that can be held accountable if their actions don’t follow their words”.

"I would like to thank the many who helped secure a bright future for the club, including the English Premier League, the coaches and players, the talented leadership and staff at Chelsea, and the legions of dedicated fans."
"I have valued my partnership with Clearlake and the wider ownership group, and the collective decisions and investment we have made to support the immediate and long-term success of the club. I am confident that Chelsea is well positioned for continued success under Clearlake's leadership."
