Millicent Blay of Nationwide Medical Insurance has won the second edition of the Breast Cancer Awareness Pink-Pong Tournament.

Blay emerged victorious at the tournament, which uses table tennis as a platform to promote breast cancer awareness and encourage conversations about the disease.

Speaking after her victory, Blay highlighted her long-standing relationship with the sport.

“I have been playing since I was a kid,” she said.

The tournament forms part of efforts to raise awareness of breast cancer through sporting activities, using table tennis to engage participants and encourage public conversations about the importance of breast cancer awareness.

Eric Apedo of Safety Communication Consult also highlighted the motivation behind the initiative, emphasising its role in promoting breast cancer awareness.

“This is an initiative to promote breast cancer awareness,” he said.

The event featured the presentation of medals to the winners, recognising their performances in the competition.

The second edition of the Breast Cancer Awareness Pink-Pong Tournament was supported by Ghana Link Network Services, AGL Gas, CBG Bank, Nationwide Medical Insurance Ltd., EMWA, Unicorn Petroleum Limited and Sankofa Spices.

The initiative continues to use sport as a tool to promote awareness of breast cancer and encourage greater public engagement with the cause.
