The Producers Guild of America has a couple of new presidents.

Donna Gigliotti and Mike Farah have been elected to lead the trade organization dedicated to the work of film, television and digital media producers, the PGA announced on Tuesday. They will succeed Stephanie Allain and Donald De Line, who have served as presidents since 2022.

“It is an incredible honor to serve as presidents of the Producers Guild of America at such a pivotal moment for our industry,” Gigliotti and Farah said in a statement. “We are deeply grateful to Donald and Stephanie for their leadership and dedication to the Guild, particularly as they helped guide our members through a period of profound change.”

Gigliotti, a film producer, has a slate of awards-friendly films on her resumé, from 2009‘s The Reader to 2013’s Silver Linings Playbook to 2017’s Hidden Figures. In 1999, she became only the third woman at that point to win a Best Picture Oscar for producing Shakespeare in Love.

Most recently, Gigliotti produced the 2023 Jane Fonda-Lily Tomlin starrer 80 for Brady and the Emmy-nominated documentary Wuhan Wuhan (2021).

Farah is a longtime comedy producer who previously served as the CEO of Funny or Die. He began at the comedy production company in 2008 and worked his way up to lead the brand before departing in 2024.

Beyond Funny or Die, the three-time Emmy winner has produced Billy on the Street, American Vandal, Between Two Ferns and the Tig Notaro comedy special Happy to Be Here. Recently, he produced 2022’s Weird: The Al Yankovic Story and executive produced Taylor Tomlinson’s show @fter Midnight. Early in his career, Farah also worked as outgoing PGA president Allain’s assistant.

During their tenure, Allain and De Line worked to crack down on vanity producer credits bestowed upon actors, managers and others, updating the organization’s Code of Conduct and the qualifications required for its “p.g.a.” mark. As they led the organization, the trade organization also unveiled an initiative to fund health insurance for producers and continued to push forward on sustainability initiatives.

“Leading the Producers Guild has been an incredible privilege. We’re thrilled to pass the baton to Donna and Mike,” De Line and Allain said in a statement. “They share a genuine commitment to supporting producers and the work they do every day. At a moment of profound change across our industry, the Guild will benefit enormously from their distinct perspectives, deep experience and shared sense of purpose.”
