LAPD Arrests 2 In Connection With Killing Of ‘SNL’ Writer Jimmy Fowlie’s Sister

Translate

Nearly a year after she went missing, LAPD has arrested two men in connection to the death of Christina Downer, the late sister of Saturday Night Live writer Jimmy Fowlie.

On Thursday, officers took 41-year-old Delorean Bijon Brandon, who is believed to be Downer’s boyfriend, and Kaylee Markowski, 34, into custody for allegedly murdering and disposing of her body, before concealing their involvement.

Brandon and Markowski are both being held at Metropolitan Detention Center, where they have been booked on suspicion of murder and are both being held on $2 million bail.

According to LAPD, Brandon claimed Downer had moved out of their home several months before her disappearance, leaving behind all of her belongings, including her vehicle and dog.

Downer’s family reported her missing on Dec. 18, 2025, following a welfare check requested by her ex-husband after he hadn’t heard from her in an extended period of time. Detectives with LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division took over the investigation when her cellphone was discovered washed ashore on a Santa Monica beach.

Last December, Fowlie sought help from friends and followers as he searched Downer’s Koreatown neighborhood, noting they were “worried that she isn’t safe.” Fowlie announced in April that LAPD had informed the family that Downer was “no longer alive,” and were treating the case as a homicide.
