The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday filed additional documents with the Department of Justice (DOJ) for a referral it earlier filed over alleged anomalous flood control projects in Davao City.

The NBI filed its recommendation to file charges against 11 officials of the Genesis88 Construction Inc. and John Does or Jane Does on Tuesday.

According to the NBI Director Melvin Matibag, they found a potential violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

“Sa DOJ naman, ‘yan ‘yung sa Genesis88 (that’s the Genesis88.). ‘Yung apat na kaso na natapos na natin (those are the four cases we finished),” he said on Tuesday.

Matibag previously said they would endorse four projects out of 47 to the DOJ and the Office of the Ombudsman for further investigation.

He said the NBI is leaving it up to the Justice Department. — BM, GMA News
