House prosecutor Bel Zamora on Tuesday brushed off the misogynistic remarks from online detractors after she cross-examined a witness during the ongoing impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
"It's so unfortunate that a lot of Filipinos still think that way," the San Juan lawmaker said.
"They still make misogynistic remarks, especially directed towards women, girls, who are apparently smart and can speak, and can speak well, and can be a lawyer in an impeachment court," she added.
Zamora on Monday cross-examined Police Major Jerickson Sangalang, Records Division chief of the Philippine National Police Firearms and Explosives Office.
But some netizens had negative comments about her way of questioning.

Zamora, however, is unfazed.
"Siguro, they can't handle sass, they can't handle style. And well, really, I don't care if they bash me. I'm here to do my job," she also said.
