Nuchanat wins bronze as Thailand adds second jiu-jitsu medal

NAGOYA, Japan — 2 October 2026, Thailand’s Nuchanat Singchalad won the bronze medal in the women’s 52kg jiu-jitsu event at the 20th Asian Games.

The 23-year-old Thai fighter faced Mongolia’s Mongoljin Ganbaatar in the bronze medal bout.

Nuchanat produced a strong performance to defeat her Mongolian opponent 4-2 and secure the bronze medal.

It was Nuchanat’s first Asian Games medal and the second medal won by Thailand’s jiu-jitsu team at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.
