Sources: Patriots trading WR Boutte to Texans
The New England Patriots have agreed to a trade that will send wide receiver Kayshon Boutte to the Houston Texans, sources confirmed to ESPN on Monday.
The Texans are sending safety Jaylen Reed and a 2028 seventh-round draft pick to New England in exchange for Boutte.
The trade comes following the season-ending injury to Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins, who suffered a torn ACL during a joint practice with the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this month.
Boutte had 33 receptions for 551 yards and six touchdowns last season for the Patriots, but he had fallen down the depth chart for the 2026 season following the additions of A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs.
