Exes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver Smile in Rare Reunion Pic

Exes Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver Reunite in Family Photo for His 79th Birthday
Katherine Schwarzenegger is back—with another glimpse at her parents’ warm relationship.
Five years after Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver finalized their divorce (a process that took 10 years), their eldest daughter shared a new family photo of the exes posing with her and siblings Christina Schwarzenegger, 35, and Patrick Schwarzenegger, 32.
At a dinner that appeared to be celebrating Arnold’s July 30 birthday the Terminator star—who also shares son Christopher Schwarzenegger, 28, with Maria, as well as Joseph Baena, also 28, with Mildred Baena—smiled brightly as a slice of pink cake with a sparkler sat in front of him. Maria sat directly to the star’s left, serving up an equally wide smile.
The couple were surrounded by three of their kids, with Christina squatting in between brother Patrick and her dad, while Katherine stood to Maria’s left, slinging her arm sweetly around her shoulders.
“Summer…you were good to us!” Katherine captioned the Sept. 9 carousel of seasonal highlights. “Back to reality.”
Katherine’s new glimpse into the Schwarzenegger family outing comes mere weeks after she commemorated her father’s 79th birthday with another Maria and Arnold photo op.
“Happy Birthday, Dad," Katherine—mom to Lyla, 6, Eloise, 4, and Ford, 22 months with husband Chris Pratt—wrote in a July 30 Instagram post. “So lucky you’re ours… and even luckier our kids get you as Opa.”
Included in the 36-year-old’s birthday message was a photo of Arnold and Maria swathed in ski clothes as they sat on a set of chairs, soaking up a bit of sunshine at their snowy resort.

But while Arnold and Maria—who separated in 2011 after 25 years of marriage—are certainly friendly exes, the former Governor of California is pumped about his decade-long romance with physical therapist Heather Milligan, who helped him rebound from a 2012 shoulder surgery.
As for Maria, “I’m open,” she shared on the Jamie Kern Lima Show last year of dating, but certainly not looking, stressing, “I’m finally good on my own.”
Either way, she and her former husband remain family.
“We always communicate about the kids, about the holidays, about birthday parties and Mother’s Day parties and Christmas," Arnold told People in 2023. “Even though it’s a different relationship, there’s no reason for me to feel anything other than love for her.”
