EXCLUSIVE: Gregg Araki has rounded out a stacked cast for his next film, the dark comedy The Decline of F*cking Western Civilization, with 12 additions, sources tell Deadline.

They are: Kal Penn, Michael Chiklis, David Koechner, Nat Faxon, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Steve Guttenberg, Colleen Camp, Giovanni Ribisi, Judy Greer, Margaret Cho, Lulu Wilson, and Charlie Bushnell.

This troupe supports the previously announced Ashton Kutcher, Alison Brie, and Jesse Williams. No character details have emerged.

Little is known about the film, other than it being an ensemble piece comped as Election meets American Beauty. Production kicked off in Los Angeles in mid September.

Producers are Why Not Productions and Goodfellas. Araki is working from a script by Kevin W. Koehler, on which he’s completed revisions. The lauded indie filmmaker comes to the project on the heels of I Want You Sex, a darkly comedic erotic thriller starring Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman, which released with Magnolia Pictures this summer after premiering to critical acclaim at Sundance.

Penn is repped by UTA, Anonymous Content, and Fuller Law; Chiklis by UTA, Entertainment 360, and Ziffren Brittenham; Koechner by Gersh and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller; Faxon by CAA, Artists First, Untitled, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman; McLendon-Covey by UTA, John Carrabino Management, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes; Guttenberg by CAA and Vault Entertainment; Camp by Gersh; Ribisi by CAA, Linden Entertainment, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller; Greer by CAA, Artists First, and Toczek Suddleson; Cho by WME, manager Sarah J.
