Translate

GURUN: Fourteen suspects, including two minors, will be charged at the Gurun Court today over the death of a teenager whose body was found along Jalan Harvard here seven days ago.

The suspects, all locals aged between 16 and 24, are expected to be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

The 18-year-old victim was found by members of the public by the roadside with injuries to his head and face.

At a previous press conference, Kedah police chief Datuk Adzli Abu Shah said the teenager had been confined for two days, tortured and had his hair cut with scissors after being accused of stealing a motorcycle.

He said the victim was also beaten with blunt objects until he died. His body was then dumped by the roadside at the location.

A post-mortem conducted on the same day found that the cause of death was head injuries sustained from blunt-force trauma.
