The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that pace bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of India's upcoming five-match ODI series against New Zealand after failing to clear his fitness test in time. In a statement, the Indian board said that the right-arm fast bowler, who is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a hamstring injury, requires further time to safely build up his bowling workload for competitive cricket. Subject to passing a Return to Play (RTP) assessment, Prasidh will link up with the India A squad for their third and final four-day match against New Zealand A to gain vital match fitness ahead of the upcoming Test series.

Meanwhile, fellow pacer Mohammed Siraj is set to join the India A squad for the second four-day fixture against New Zealand A, which commences on October 31, 2026.

Additionally, the BCCI has confirmed that all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will remain with the senior national team for the first ODI against New Zealand on November 4, 2026. Following the opening fixture, Nitish will join the India A squad for the third four-day match against New Zealand A to get valuable match practice prior to the two-match Test series against New Zealand, starting November 19, 2026.

Smaran, Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, Shikhar Mohan, Mukesh Choudhary, Mukesh Kumar, Manav Suthar, Kumar Kushagra (Wicketkeeper).
