Slash Makes Latin America the Starting Point for His 2027 World Tour After Storied History in the Region

Translate

Slash is heading back to Latin America. And for the second time in three years, he’s making the region the starting point for a world tour.

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators have announced eight Latin American dates to launch their “Flying Blind World Tour” in April 2027. The run begins April 2nd at Teatro Caupolicán in Santiago, Chile, before continuing through Argentina and Brazil.

The tour comes in support of Flying Blind, the band’s fifth studio album and first since 2022’s 4, due out on February 26th via Gibson Records. The title track is out now as the album’s first single. A pre-sale starts Tuesday, October 6th with the general on-sale beginning Friday, October 9th via Ticketmaster.

Starting the tour in Latin America feels fitting for Slash whose relationship with the region stretches back more than three decades. He first played South America with Guns N’ Roses at Rock in Rio in 1991, an experience he has since described as life-changing, while calling Brazil one of his favorite places in the world to play. He has similarly called Argentina one of his favorite places to play in the whole world” and praised Chilean crowds.

SMKC’s most recent South American run took place in early 2024, after kicking off that year’s international tour in Mexico City and continuing through Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile. Several stops on the upcoming run, including Santiago’s Teatro Caupolicán, Mendoza’s Arena Maipú, Córdoba’s Plaza de la Música, and Curitiba’s Live Curitiba, are venues the band has previously played.

Flying Blind also marks 15 years of Slash’s partnership with Kennedy and The Conspirators. “When we started, we didn’t have anything,” Slash said in a statement. “We weren’t setting out to conquer the world. It was just for the pure pleasure of it.”

“As long as there’s electricity, we’ll keep plugging in.”
