An adorable puppy that passes out whenever he gets too excited has melted the hearts of social media users.
Cocker spaniels are known for their happy temperament which has led them to be known as 'merry cockers' but, for one dog, his chipper mood has unintended consequences.
Gösta is a cocker spaniel puppy who has narcolepsy and cataplexy - a rare neurological disorder that causes sudden, uncontrollable sleep and loss of muscle control.
The sleepy pooch was first diagnosed when he was just nine weeks old but, according to his owners, the prognosis is good and dogs with narcolepsy often have an excellent quality of life.
Taking to social media, Gösta's owners have shared videos of the puppy falling asleep, while on walks, while enjoying a treat and while playing with another dog - much to the delight of online users.
'This is the best video I’ve ever seen in my whole life,' said Chloe Burrows on TikTok.
One user wrote: 'And spaniels get excited about everything. Seems he has a life full of naps on the way!'
'I want to give him the biggest kiss ever. Beautiful little sleepy boy,' said Ella.
