Lord of the Rings has been rejuvenated as of late, with a collection of spin-off projects either in the works, released, or, at the very least, announced. There's a new movie, the Rings of Power TV show is finally hitting its stride, a brand-new RPG is in the works, and more. All of it has the potential to ape the success and legacy of the original books and films should they play their proverbial cards right; however, even should they falter, more Lord of the Rings of any quality is usually a good thing and makes for an entertaining time.

Among all of these new Lord of the Rings releases is a Sauron-focused project, aptly titled Sauron Unleashed, that fans of the series' major antagonist will certainly enjoy. This smaller, yet nevertheless important, project is designed with fans in mind, one that those absolutely devoted to Lord of the Rings should jump at the opportunity to get stuck into. Of course, even those just starting their journey across Middle-earth and its wealth of incredible stories can enjoy this brand-new Sauron release.

As we await the upcoming and sadly delayed Lord of the Rings film, many are likely to turn to other projects within its fascinating universe for entertainment. We've seen numerous games in the series revived for modern consoles, and there's the aforementioned Rings of Power series to keep everyone engaged in Middle-earth's machinations. However, for those who want a little more, there are a few more projects, including Sauron Unleashed, that should prove to be a fun distraction. That is, of course, so long as you're a collector.

Sauron Unleashed is the latest collaboration between Sideshow and Lord of the Rings, a giant 1:10 statue of the legendary villain that is packed with so much detail in an attempt to justify its exorbitant price. The company has previously made statues for all manner of pop culture properties, including Superman and, of course, Lord of the Rings, and is therefore well respected within this particular niche. The Sauron Unleashed statue isn't one of its biggest, but it is an impressive product that fans will hopefully enjoy.

Joining other new Lord of the Rings statues, Sauron Unleashed depicts the Dark Lord gripping his deadly mace in one hand, with the other stretched open. He stands on a detailed base of rock and lava that's surrounded by the horns of his crown, and comes in at a whopping 14 inches tall. Naturally, for a statue this big and detailed, fans will have to spend rather a lot to get him. If you're interested in buying Sauron Unleashed, it will cost you $305.

Prospective purchasers can pick it up from Sideshow's official website. Pre-orders are open now, with the statue estimated to ship sometime between October 2027 and December 2027. This is very much a collector's item, a limited edition product that will adorn the shelves of the most enthusiastic Lord of the Rings fans, yet is nevertheless a fun collaboration. Of course, for those who don't feel like spending $305 on a statue, there are plenty of other exciting Lord of the Rings projects on the way that are sure to be just as entertaining, if not more so.
