Body wrapped in cloth found in Permatang Pauh market drain
PERMATANG PAUH: A man's body, wrapped in cloth, was found in a drain at Sama Gagah Market here around 7am.
A regular visitor, who wished to be identified only as Asma, said she was buying fish when she noticed people gathering near the drain and went to see what had happened.
"I was really shocked to learn that a body had been found.
"In more than 10 years of coming to this market, I have never encountered anything like this," she said.
Asma said she could not get a closer look at the body as police had cordoned off the area to facilitate investigations.
Police had yet to issue a statement on the discovery as of press time.
