Alison Hammond shares update from hospital bed after alarming fans with sudden This Morning exit

This Morning presenter Alison Hammond was forced to leave the studio during Friday's (2 October) episode, with viewers of the popular ITV series sending their best wishes via social media.
The broadcaster was appearing alongside co-host Dermot O'Leary, with the pair taking part in a phone-in alongside resident veterinarian Dr Scott Miller. During one of the calls, however, Alison left the studio.
After the advertisement break, Dermot addressed the matter, explaining: "Welcome back to This Morning, Alison is feeling a little unwell, so she's just had to duck out. Hopefully she'll be back."

Later, Dermot confirmed that his co-host wouldn't be returning to the studio for the remainder of the episode, with the presenter saying: "Ali's feeling a little unwell so I'll be here for the rest of the show."

Several viewers have taken to social media to send their best messages to Alison, with one writing on X: "I hope we get an update regarding Alison soon as that was really worrying to watch. Hopefully she's okay."
"Hope Alison is ok and its nothing more than a bit unwell," added another viewer, while a third wrote: "I hope Alison is okay. It sounded like she was either throwing up or having a panic attack. Hope she gets well soon."

These sentiments were echoed by another fan, who remarked: "Awww so we’ve gotten the confirmation from Dermot that Alison was not feeling well . Praying that it’s nothing serious."
Alison, who also co-hosts The Great British Bake Off, recently discussed her relationship with David Putman, with the presenter sharing they had no immediate plans to tie the knot.
