Kimberly-Clark (KMB) released better-than-expected preliminary results for the third quarter and reaffirmed its outlook for the full year, driving shares higher in Thursday’s premarket trading.

For the three months ending September 30, Kimberly-Clark (KMB) expects to earn an adjusted profit of $1.70 per share. While this is less than a year ago, it is $0.11 better than anticipated.

Net sales are expected to have declined by 0.4% to $4.134B compared to estimates for a much larger decline to $4.09B. The company also expects organic sales growth to have declined by 1.3% in Q3 versus a gain of 2.5% in the same quarter last year.

For FY26, the company continues to expect organic sales growth to be ~100 basis points below its weighted average category growth in the categories and countries it competes, and adjusted operating profit to grow mid-single digits on a constant currency basis.

Adjusted earnings for the year will likely see a low single-digit decline.

Kimberly-Clark (KMB) will report third-quality results before the market opens on November 5.
