‘Man on the Inside’ to End With Season 3 at Netflix

“A Man on the Inside” will end with Season 3 at Netflix, which is now in production.

The critically-acclaimed comedy was renewed for a third season back in March, with Season 2 having debuted in January. The series is shooting its third season in San Francisco, CA.

“This series began with a retiree taking a chance at a new life. By answering a help wanted ad and venturing out into the world, Charles Nieuwendyk made his world bigger and proved that life only slows down if you let it,” series creator Mike Schur said. “We are thrilled to be able to conclude his journey with one final chapter, as embodied by the great Ted Danson, who I am legally required to refer to as a ‘National Treasure.’”

The third season of the show will see Danson return along with Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lilah Richcreek Estrada, Stephanie Beatriz, Eugene Cordero, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sally Struthers and Mary Steenburgen.

Season 3 has also added eight guest stars, who are: Annette O’Toole (“Superman III,” “IT,” “Virgin River”), Bernadette Peters (“The Good Fight,” “The Debut”), Christopher McDonald (“Hacks,” “Happy Gilmore”), Diedrich Bader (“Lucky Hank,” “Better Things,” “American Housewife”), Jessica St. Clair (“The Studio,” “Space Force,” “Avenue 5”), Nick Offerman (“The Last of Us,” “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” “Parks and Recreation”), Rachel Dratch (“Saturday Night Live,” “30 Rock,” and “The Rocky Horror Show”), and Stephen Root (“Widow’s Bay,” “Barry”).

“A Man on the Inside” is based on the documentary “The Mole Agent.” Schur created the series and serves as an executive producer via Fremulon. Morgan Sackett is also an executive producer via Dunshire Productions along with David Miner of 3 Arts Entertainment, Maite Alberdi and Marcela Santibañez of Micromundo Producciones, and Julie Goldman and Christopher Clements of Motto Pictures. Universal Television is the studio.

Annette O’Toole as Kitt: a fixture in San Francisco high society, and one of Coco’s oldest friends

Bernadette Peters as Coco Van Beck: the Grand Dame of San Francisco society, who hires Charles to find whoever is trying to sabotage her philanthropic work.

Christopher McDonald as Leland: a playboy vineyard owner and Coco’s third ex-husband.

Diedrich Bader as Mark Delaurio: a powerful real estate developer who has clashed with Coco many times in the past.

Jessica St. Clair as Chloe: a friend of Emily’s (Ellis) who helps her navigate a new phase in parenthood.

Nick Offerman as Jack Spencer: one of Coco’s employees who takes a special interest in Charles’s investigation.

Rachel Dratch as Maud: Coco’s harried assistant who sleeps three hours a night and has three phones going at all times.

Stephen Root as Dave: Charles’s estranged brother, who has some old scores to settle.
