Connor Esterhuizen brings up his maiden ODI hundred • Cricket Namibia
Connor Esterhuizen became South Africa's latest centurion as he reached a better-than-run-a-ball hundred, they topped 300 for the second successive match and sealed the series win with a game to play. Tony de Zorzi reached another score in the 70s and shared a 183-run second-wicket stand with Esterhuizen which set South Africa up for another big score and Namibia for their fourth-biggest defeat in the format.
Namibia, once again, hoped for early moisture - that wasn't there - and bowled first. Though they were able to contain South Africa upfront, one substantial partnership took the game away. Jack Brassell claimed the second four-for of his career but conceded 64 runs in 10 overs, which exemplified Namibia's time in the field: they were among the wickets but gave away too many runs.
Asked to complete their highest successful chase for a second time in the series, and having never chased more than 266 in an ODI, Namibia were completely out of their depth. Captain Gerhard Erasmus scored his first ODI half-century in eight innings and was the only batter to score more than 26 in a tough outing for their batters against South Africa's seamers.
