Silent Witch Author Matsuri Isora Announces New Fantasy Novel
Matsuri Isora announced on Thursday that a new novel titled Bōkyaku no Curse Knight (Curse Knight of Oblivion) will ship on November 13 with illustrations by Shirotaka (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation).
The online bookstore e-hon teases the premise of "a hidden power that is the most powerful curse" and describes the story as a "refreshing knight fantasy about a tenacious boy striving despite the odds to become a hero!"
The Silent Witch (Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto) story debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let's Become Novelists) website in February 2020. Kadokawa began publishing the light novel series in June 2021, and it released the 12th volume on June 10. Isora and Fujimi also debuted a two-volume prequel novel series titled Silent Witch -another- Kekkai no Majutsushi no Nariagari (Rise of the Barrier Mage, also known as Secrets of the Silent Witch -another-). The first volume shipped in December 2023, and the second and final volume shipped in April 2024.
Yen Press licensed the novels, and releases the series under the title Secrets of the Silent Witch. The publisher describes the story:

Tobi Tana launched a manga adaptation of the original novels in Kadokawa's B's-LOG COMIC in July 2021. The manga's seventh compiled book volume shipped on September 1. Azu Azuko also launched a manga adaptation of the Silent Witch -another- Kekkai no Majutsushi no Nariagari prequel novels in Kadokawa's ComicWalker service in January 2025. Kadokawa shipped the first compiled book volume in September 2025.
Yen Press also licensed Tana, Isora, and Fujimi's Secrets of the Silent Witch manga.
The anime premiered on television on the Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11 channels in July 2025. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
