Coronation Street confirms airdate and details for special Debbie episode

Coronation Street has confirmed plans for a special episode focusing on Debbie Webster and her friends.
Show bosses are delving deeper into the dynamics within Debbie's Angels, who have been supporting her following her dementia diagnosis.

The episode airs on Monday 9 November and sees Debbie make plans for her son Carl's 40th birthday celebrations.
She enlists Abi Webster, Bernie Winter-Alahan, Christina Boyd, Sally Metcalfe and Glenda Shuttleworth to help her plan a surprise for Carl, but unexpected fireworks follow!
In touching scenes, Debbie brings out hundreds of family pictures taken over the years and asks everyone to help her put a photo book together.
Sadly, the fun bonding experience soon turns sour as old tensions between the group are reignited.
"Amidst the heated confrontations regarding family history and past trauma, the group struggles to keep the celebration afloat," a Coronation Street statement teased.

"While some find solace in confiding in one another about their own personal burdens, others face difficult decisions about their futures."
Fortunately, it sounds as though Debbie and her pals will soon realise that they're a much stronger force when they're united rather than arguing.
The synopsis added: "By the end of the evening the air is cleared, and the women unite to move forward, though several of them are left to navigate significant, life-altering choices in private."
Christina and Sally have recently been locked in their own feud regarding the future of troubled teen Lucy Parkinson.

Amy Robbins, who plays Christina, recently told us: "The two of them have already got a history of squabbling. They're part of the same friendship group, but I think if any two of them from the gang are so different in personality, it's Sally and Christina. It's about to get very nasty between the two of them.
"When the producer told me that I'd be doing a lot with Sally, I was really overjoyed because Sally Dynevor is truly one of the loveliest people I've ever met in life and I don't say that lightly. She is just the sweetest woman and we get on so well in real life. To have a storyline with one of the original and best cast members is brilliant, too."
