Deepti jumps to No. 2 on Charani-led T20I bowling rankings

India allrounder Deepti Sharma jumped up four spots to be second in the ICC women's T20I rankings for bowlers while Shafali Verma rose up a spot to be sixth in the T20I batters' rankings.
Deepti picked up 14 wickets in India's victorious Asia Cup campaign to finish as the leading wicket-taker. Shafali topped the run charts with 236 runs including three fifties at a strike rate of 171.01. Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana continues to be at the fifth spot with only four rating points separating the two India openers.
The bowlers rankings is continued to be led by India's left-arm spinner N Shree Charani, who now has her career-best 804 points. It is the highest points by an Indian, breaking Mithali Raj's record of 780 points in 2011, and is two shy of Megan Schutt's all-time record from 2018.
Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu, who picked up seven wickets for five runs against Indonesia retained her third spot among the T20I allrounders' rankings while climbing to 27th in the bowling charts.
