Michael Carrick gives update on Carlos Baleba's injury

Translate

Manchester United midfielder Carlos Baleba is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury, with manager Michael Carrick confirming that the midfielder will be unavailable for a number of weeks.

Speaking about the injury, Carrick revealed that Baleba will not recover in time for the upcoming international break, suggesting that his absence could extend beyond that period.

Carrick confirmed,

“Unfortunately, it won’t be over the international break. It will be longer than that."

The injury is a setback for Baleba, who will now focus on his recovery as Manchester United assess the extent of the problem and monitor his progress.
His absence will leave United without another midfield option for the coming.

Baleba’s absence could prove costly for Manchester United, particularly with several important fixtures approaching. The midfielder’s physical presence, energy and ability to break up opposition attacks will be missed, while Carrick may have to explore alternative options in midfield until the 22-year-old returns to full fitness.

Manchester United will now hope Baleba makes a smooth recovery and avoids any complications during his rehabilitation. Although no specific return date has been confirmed, Carrick’s comments suggest the club will not rush the midfielder back into action, with his long-term fitness remaining the priority.
