More than 141,000 personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and partner agencies will be deployed nationwide for security and public safety operations during Undas 2026.

(A grand total of 141,172. This comprises our PNP personnel, other units, our partner agencies, like Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protections, Philippine Coast Guard, and of course, our force multipliers.)

The deployment aims to help ensure public safety and maintain peace and order as Filipinos travel to their home provinces and visit cemeteries during the observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day on November 1 and 2.

The PNP said it would deploy personnel at transportation hubs, including airports, seaports and bus terminals amid expectations of increased passenger traffic.

Authorities expect travel activity to increase on the evening of October 29, with a more significant increase anticipated on the afternoon of October 30.

The police are also preparing traffic advisories covering road closures and alternative routes to guide motorists and commuters. These will be released once finalized, the PNP said.

Co said it would adjust deployment plans based on expected travel patterns, the calendar and security requirements.

The PNP will remain on full alert through November 2, with the status scheduled for possible downgrading or lifting on November 3, depending on the prevailing situation and the need for continued heightened security. —VAL, GMA News
