Netflix is gearing up for a Rob-Lowe-filled holiday season with the release of the actor’s documentary, “Rob Lowe: The Outsider,” and new video episodes of his podcast, “Literally! With Rob Lowe.”

Set to release Nov. 24, “Rob Lowe: The Outsider” traces Lowe’s career from his breakout roles in “The Outsiders” and “St. Elmo’s Fire” to his Emmy-nominated performance on “The West Wing” and how he maintained his Hollywood career. The documentary is directed by Chris Smith (“Tiger King”) and executive produced by Marc Gurvitz, Jon Liebman and Zoe Rogovin. Chris Smith, Sydney Schwartz and Stacy Smith for Library Film produce.

Lowe’s podcast, “Literally! With Rob Lowe,” will be available to stream Dec. 3 in a new partnership with SiriusXM, Netflix and Lowe. More than 30 library episodes will be available on the streaming platform, where new video episodes will be released every Thursday. The actor created and hosts the podcast, also executive producing alongside Nick Liao, Adam Sachs and Jeff Ross. Team Coco’s Sean Doherty produces with associate producer Sean Calvano.

The news comes in anticipation of Netflix’s holiday comedy film “In A Holidaze,” which premieres Dec. 2 and also stars Lowe, as well as “Dance Moms” alumna Maddie Ziegler. Based on the novel by Christina Lauren, the pen name for writing partners Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings, Ziegler plays a young woman stuck in a holiday time-loop that forces her to relive the same Christmas at her family’s cabin until she finds what brings her true happiness.

Graham Phillips and Elias Kacavas also star in the film, which is directed and written by Tiffany Paulsen. Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Koplovitz Dutton of Alloy Entertainment produce.
