CNN Correspondent Elizabeth Wagmeister to Host Pre-Emmy Interview Series (TV News Roundup)

CNN correspondent Elizabeth Wagmeister is set to host a special pre-Emmy interview series airing exclusively on CNN.

“Coming Up” will see Wagmeister sit down with Emmy nominees to discuss the stories behind the performances and achievements across their careers in television.

The nominated stars include Colman Domingo (“The Four Seasons,” “Euphoria”), Paul W. Downs (“Hacks”), Allison Janney (“The Diplomat”), Katherine LaNasa (“The Pitt”), Ariana Madix (“Love Island USA”), Matthew Rhys (“Widow’s Bay,” “The Beast In Me”) and Jessica Williams (“Shrinking”).

The interviews will roll out on CNN platforms during the Emmy voting window beginning Aug. 17. The final-round voting window ends Aug. 26, and the Emmy Awards ceremony is Sept. 14.

Prime Video has released first look images for “The Terminal List” Season 2, which premieres Oct. 21. 

Based on Jack Carr’s best-selling novels of the same name, the sophomore season adapts the second book, “True Believer.” As Navy Seal Commander James Reece (Chris Pratt) battles dangerous forces, he travels across the globe in an attempt to find a new purpose after he finished his list, but a discovery in Moscow leaves him questioning his family’s history.

Starring alongside Pratt are Tom Hopper, Constance Wu, Dar Salim, Luke Hemsworth, Gabriel Luna, Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo and Shiraz Tzarfati. 

Pratt also serves as executive producer with Carr, David DiGilio, Antione Fuqua, Kat Samick, Max Adams and Jared Shaw.

“Victorious” is beginning a new chapter with “Hollywood Arts,” which premieres Oct. 15 on Netflix. 

Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) is still a struggling actress who returns to Hollywood Arts, her former high school, “as an unqualified substitute teacher, quickly finding herself both clashing with and unexpectedly inspiring a new generation of ambitious and talented students as they learn to find their true path at Hollywood’s most elite performing arts school.”

Starring alongside Monet are Alyssa Miles, Erika Swayze, Emily Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson and Martin Kamm. Monet also serves as executive producer with Samantha Martin, Jake Farrow, Shauna Phelan and Jonathan Judge.

“Private Eyes West Coast” and Season 2 of “Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent” will premiere Oct. 5 on The CW.

“Private Eyes West Coast” is a spin-off of the “Private Eyes” series, which ran for five seasons. The series sees Jason Priestley and Cindy Sampson reprise their roles as private investigators Matt Shade and Angie Everett. 

The 10-episode season follows Shade and Angie as they settle into their new P.I. firm without their Toronto network.

“Private Eyes West Coast” is executive produced by Priestley, Sarah Dodd, Jennifer Kassabian, Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan, Jocelyn Hamilton and Darren Giblin. Dodd and Kassabian serve as showrunners.

“Private Eyes West Coast” premieres Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

“Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent” returns for its second season with Detective Sergeants Henry Graff (Aden Young) and Frankie Bateman (Kathleen Munroe).

Season 2 follows Graff and Bateman as they take on high-profile homicides inspired by some of Canada’s most infamous headlines. The cast also stars Karen Robinson as Inspector Vivienne Holness, K.C. Collins as Deputy Crown Attorney Theo Forrester, Nicola Correia-Damude as pathologist Dr. Lucy Da Silva and Araya Mengesha as tech expert Mark Yohannes.

Based on the classic series format created by Dick Wolf and developed by Rene Balcer, “Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent” is produced by Lark Productions and Cameron Pictures in association with Universal Global Television. Tassie Cameron serves as showrunner and executive producer. Erin Haskett, Amy Cameron, David Valleau, Alex Patrick and Wanda Chaffey are also executive producers.

EXECUTIVE NEWS

Tom Pelissero is set to join Netflix’s broadcast team as sideline reporter and NFL insider. He will also take a lead role in NFL coverage across several of The Ringer’s podcast shows, including co-host of The Ringer NFL Show.

Pelissero joins Netflix’s broadcast team as sideline reporter across the streamer’s full slate of games this season. This includes the Rams – 49ers game in Melbourne, Australia, the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game, a doubleheader Christmas Gameday and a Week 18 matchup on Jan. 9 in the final weekend of the regular season.

For The Ringer, Pelissero will co-host The Ringer NFL Show, write about the NFL and appear on other shows, including every Thursday on The Bill Simmons Podcast during the NFL season.

Pelissero was on the broadcast team in 2022 with Noah Eagle for the Vikings’ win over the Colts in the NFL’s biggest comeback in history. He served as NFL Network’s Senior Bowl sideline reporter from 2019 to July 2026.
