Delhi have broken the record for the highest total by any women's team in domestic T20s by posting 262 for 6 against Hyderabad in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy in Pune. Delhi broke the record earlier held by Goa, who had scored 257 for 2 against Arunachal Pradesh in 2019-20. Delhi's total was the 11th-highest overall in women's T20s; the top are scores from women's T20Is.

Delhi were led by a century from their opening batter Tanisha Singh, who smashed 119 off just 47 balls. Her 38-ball century became the joint third-quickest recorded hundred in women's T20s, behind Kiran Navgire (34 balls) and Sophie Devine (36), and level with Deandra Dottin, who did it against South Africa in 2010.

Tanisha, 23, smoked 25 fours and a six even though she lost her opening partner Vanshika Lila early. Tanisha and India international Priya Punia, the Delhi No. 3, then put on a 160-run stand in just 66 balls to power Delhi past 175. Punia fell for 59 off 28 balls, and Shweta Sehrawat struck a rapid 26 off eight balls with three sixes to propel them past 200.

Tanisha was next to fall, bowled by G Trisha before cameos from Nazma Khan and Deeksha Sharma, and captain Soni Yadav's 15 led them to the record total. Vanka Pooja was the standout bowler for Hyderabad, taking 4 for 32 from her four overs. All other seven bowlers leaked at least 11 runs an over.

Hyderabad were given a strong start in the chase, thanks to opener Trisha. But they couldn't quite match Delhi's scoring rate despite Trisha's 80 off 52 balls. Only one other batter - captain Pranavi Chandra - crossed 20 as Hyderabad were kept to 154 for 8 for a 108-run loss.
