KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and six states until 4 pm today.

It said in a statement that the adverse weather was expected to affect Perak (Kuala Kangsar, Larut Matang, Manjung, Bagan Datuk, Perak Tengah and Hilir Perak) and the whole of Selangor.

A similar warning was also issued for Kelantan (Pasir Puteh and Bachok) as well as Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus and Kuala Terengganu).

In Sarawak, the affected areas are Limbang (Limbang), Miri (Marudi), Sri Aman (Sri Aman and Lubok Antu), Betong (Betong), Bintulu (Tatau), Sibu (Selangau) and Kapit (Song).

As for Sabah, the areas involved are the Interior (Pensiangan, Sipitang, Tenom and Tambunan), Tawau (Kalabakan and Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Kinabatangan) and the West Coast. — Bernama
