Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: AwanBiru Technology Bhd (Awantec), through its wholly owned subsidiary Awantec Systems Sdn Bhd, has secured an RM8.68 million contract from TH Plantations Bhd (THP) to implement an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Awantec said its subsidiary accepted the letter of award on Oct 20, 2026, for the supply, implementation, configuration, testing, training, commissioning, support and maintenance of the Sage X3 ERP system.

The five-year contract runs from Oct 1, 2026, to Sept 30, 2026, covering THP and its subsidiaries.

The system will be deployed across THP group's network of companies, estates and palm oil mills, supporting its operations in oil palm cultivation, fresh fruit bunches processing and the marketing of palm oil products.

Awantec said the contract was expected to have a positive impact on the group's earnings per share and net tangible assets per share over the contract period, barring unforeseen circumstances.

It also highlighted operational risks, including potential delays during implementation, testing, training and commissioning, which could affect project timelines.

The company said its subsidiary would mitigate these risks through a comprehensive implementation plan, defined milestones, rigorous testing and project management controls.
