Yaniv is focused on two teachers, Bernstein (Ben Ducoff) and Jonah (Eli Boskey) at a Bronx high school. Bernstein is refused funding for his annual musical by his principal (Catherine Curtin), and so he must take drastic measures to secure the money, which includes participating in an underground gambling ring run by the Hasidic Jewish community.

Enlisting Jonah, a recovering gambling addict with a talent for counting cards, the two disguise themselves as Orthodox Jews and attempt to beat the house at Yaniv, a popular card game. It's a madcap indie comedy blending Jewish humor, high-stakes gambling, and heartfelt friendship.

New Plaza Cinema in NYC hosts screenings of Yaniv every weekend through the end of the year. Find showtimes and buy tickets here.
