Joe McElderry, Peter Reid and Joe Wicks are just three of the celebrities taking part in the 45th edition of the famous half-marathon.

63,000 runners – a mix of elite athletes, celebs and the public – will work their way from Gateshead to South Shields, from the city to the sea, on Sunday.

More than £25 million is expected to be raised for charitable causes and a significant chunk of that will be a result of the famous faces involved, but who exactly is involved this year?
