Northern Mindanao on full alert for martial law protests
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The police force in Northern Mindanao has been placed on full alert on Monday for mass actions marking the 54th anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law.
Maj. Joann Navarro, Police Regional Office-10 (PRO-10) spokesperson, told the Inquirer they have deployed units to key areas to ensure public safety and maintain a timely response capability during public assemblies.

To augment local units, PRO-10 placed 489 personnel — comprising 268 from the Reactionary Standby Support Forces (RSSF) and 221 from the Quick Reaction Forces (QRF) — on standby for Monday’s activities, she said.
This follows a weekend deployment of 511 RSSF and QRF personnel on Sunday.
“The PNP’s (Philippine National Police) preparations are already in place for the expected protests on the anniversary of Martial Law.
