Marvel is preparing to make its enormous comics catalog easier to access digitally through a new partnership with WEBTOON Entertainment. The companies will launch the Marvel Comics app on November 16, 2026, bringing more than 35,000 digital comics together with discovery tools, personalized recommendations, and features designed around following ongoing series that fans know and love.

Developed by WEBTOON Entertainment for mobile devices and use on the web, the Marvel Comics App powered by WEBTOON platform combines Marvel's publishing library with WEBTOON's experience in digital comics. The service will include current and classic Marvel stories, along with comics from Star Wars and 20th Century Studios, like the Alien franchise. More stories and features from across Disney's portfolio are also expected to join the platform.

The Marvel Comics app will give subscribers access to more than 35,000 digital comics, allowing readers to move between archived stories and current comic book runs. The service will support both traditional page-based comics and vertical-scroll formats, while its enhanced smart-panel mode will zoom into individual panels to make reading Marvel issues easier on mobile devices.

Discovery is another major focus of the new platform. Fans can browse thousands of covers through a scrolling interface, receive recommendations based on their reading history and interests, and explore dedicated pages centered on individual characters and creators. These features are designed to make Marvel's massive library easier for both longtime readers and newcomers to navigate.

The Pull List feature will also help readers keep track of ongoing stories. Fans can follow specific series, characters, and creators and receive new issues when they become available. Upcoming releases can be viewed ahead of time and added to a reader's Pull List, providing users with a centralized way to follow future comics instead of searching for each title individually.

Two Subscription Tiers Give Readers Different Release Windows

The Marvel Comics app will launch with two subscription tiers offering different access windows for newer releases. The Base tier costs $9.99 USD per month plus tax or $69.99 USD per year plus tax. It includes the full Marvel Comics digital library, with new issues becoming available as soon as three months after their print release.

For readers who want newer comics sooner, the Ultimate tier costs $12.49 USD per month plus tax or $99.99 USD annually plus tax. Ultimate includes the complete digital library while reducing the release window for new comics to as little as one month after their print publication, giving subscribers earlier access to current Marvel stories.

Before the November 16 launch, Marvel and WEBTOON are offering a limited-time founding-member price of $59.99 USD plus tax for the first year of Ultimate Annual. The subscription begins when the included code is redeemed after launch and automatically renews at $99.99 USD plus tax per year unless canceled. Fans can also preview the app at New York Comic Con from October 8 through October 11 at booth #2435, where the first 2,000 people claiming the offer will receive a limited-edition Marvel Comics print ID card, while supplies last.
